Automobile Nov.05 Z06 vs. GT vs. SRT-10 Coupe
Sorry if this doesn't come up as an image, as it's an attachment at the Ford GT site. I don't know if Troy allows "?"'s in IMG tags.
Acceleration and Lap times at Gingerman. HOT!
Ford GT 3.8 0-60, 12.2 1/4 mile, 1:32.45 lap
Z06 4.1 0-60, 12.0 1/4 mile, 1:32.75 lap
Viper 4.3 0-60, 12.4 1/4 mile, 1:33.95 lap
Damn I wish I had this rag to read right now! Looks like the Z and GT are a great road course battle. I'm surprised the mid-engined setup was enough to compensate for the weight on a small track like Gingerman. At least the Viper, er, I'm sure it's very hard to drive, and therefore more manly or something. Great cover pic.

Thats pretty cool..but cant belive the time they have come up with, slow..but it takes time for people to figure out the car i guess..but it must have been some test..
I would love to see it too..

wow they got some slow times. thats . those cars are much faster
here are the real times for each car
0-60 1/4 mile braking skidpad
ford gt 3.7 11.5 97feet 1.05
viper 3.8 11.7 111 feet 1.00
vet Z06 3.7 11.5 106 feet 1.04
those are the official times you can see that the ford gt and z06 are the top for speed but the viper is top for brakes and handeling.

4.1 to 60, they must have shifted to 2nd
What's up with the cornering Gs on the the Z? Am I reading that right? 1.1 and 1.09? Were the runflats on the Z?
Do the viper or GT have runflats?

HOLY ****!! The Z06 beat the Viper in braking, and beat the FGT in the 1/4 mile and came DARN close to it around the track.
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...What are your excuses now, Sween?? Same track, same conditions, etc...I think it is time for you to give credit where credit is due eh??
God I love this car!!

LOL!!!
Can somebody bring up the old posts where people were saying GT is gonna KILL Z06.
You remember, the ones were I said it’s gonna be a lot closer than you think.
Whos the b*tch now?!
I also called BS on C&D braking and lateral numbers. Something must’ve been off that day.
Look at this – same day, same track, same conditions – new Z outbrakes Viper – just like I said it should/would.
Man, I love to be right

Either way, they’re always higher than skid pad and cannot be compared to skid pad number directly.

SRT-10 does , GT – I don’t know, most likely not. Somebody confirm?

No banking at Gingerman. It's a short, very technical, fun course to drive. Lots of room to run off if you screw up and very little armco to worry about. I just re-read the article and if it they said where they tested for the 0-60 etc. I missed it. Maybe they tested somewhere at Gingerman? There really isn't a straightaway long enough for a 1/4 mile run. In any event, they seemed to like everything about the Z06 except the interior. What I found most interesting was a picture they had of the three cars nose to tail. The Corvette looks smaller and tidier than either of the others, although it appears to be just a bit further from the camera. Oh yeah. They didn't use a Yellow one! There is another color. It was blue.
