Default *Set of 4 OEM grand sport wheels for sale

Hey everyone:

I am going to be moving soon and need to save up lots of money. After realizing how much 315 series tires cost, these rims (and the tires I will need) will not be conducive to those cost savings efforts.

I am therefore selling a set of 4 OEM grand sport rims including valve stems and center Corvette caps. These are the front 17 by 9.5 and rear 17 by 11's.

I bought these from a forum member in June. Here is the original post:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php
t=1086308&forum_id=55&arch=1

Although I never had tires mounted/balanced, the original poster claims that a tire technician noticed the inside lip of one of the rear wheels is slightly out of round without negative affects per driveability/vibration. Looking at the wheel I see nothing out of the ordinary.

I had the insides painted and the rest of the wheels cleaned up. Im looking to recover some of these costs and am asking $650 + shipping for the entire set of four.

For local buyers, Im willing to drive up to approximately 75 miles or so from Kent, Ohio (44240). I am also willing to ship these.

I do not want to split these up either. I am looking to sell the whole set.

Drop me an instant message or email me at: track_Guy24@yahoo.com

Dave

You may want to post this in the C5 section as well. The GS wheels are very popular with the C5 guys & IMO this is a good deal.

I am interested in another set but I can get brand new ones from House of wheels for 850 shipped. These are a little rough for the price.

This is a great price for OEM GS wheels as they are quite a bit lighter than any of the aftermarket (AFS, etc) wheels out there. I'd jump on them but I already have two sets and really don't have room for another. These wheels retail from GM for over $1200 per set. Also, you can usually have these wheels refinished for abour $50 a wheel that would make them look brand new.

Usually those prices are for the 'heavy' AFS set of 4. They look the same, but are 'heavy'.

Everyone who's seen these has been surprised at how light they are, especially the 11" wide wheels. I think when I weighed them they were about 20-22 pounds per wheel. AFS wheels are about 28 pounds per wheel.

My goal was to put Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars on these in the 315 size. Those are a 'lightweight' tire due to reduced skid depth, and other internal weight savings.

However, my life will be changing direction soon and new rims/tires are not conducive to the cost savings I need.

Every reproduction A-mold wheel is heavier than the OEM versions...usually by 4-6 lbs a piece

$50 a wheel for refinishing sounds good. I have some wheels in need of some work. Do you have a name/ number of anyone that does this?

Thanks
