Default C6 Z06 brakes on a C5 (PICS!!) =)

i'm not sure if we were the first to do this, but my cousin happen to score a set of 2006 Z06 brakes from a guy that had his hand in the development of the C6 Z06. 14" frt rotors w/ 6 piston calipers and 13.5" rear rotors w/ 4 piston calipers.
we used the rear 18" wheels in the front w/ a 265/35 and used 18x10.5" polished thin spokes for the rear w/ a 295/35. the front needed a 1/4" spacer to clear the HUGE calipers.. if i remember correctly, they measured 12" end to end turns out it was a BOLT ON!!!

here are some pics

clearence on the front calipers were REALLY close

Maybe we wont have to spend 4K for a big brake package after all..
But then once the vendors see that they can sell this stuff to the C5 guys they'll add their 700% corvette tax markup..

Keep us posted on how they feel. I'm wondering if they would require a master cylinder upgrade or if the C5 fluid level is enough to work these beasts properly.

LS7 Clutchs that fit a C5, LS7 Shocks that might fit C5 and now Brakes! Dude you are my hero. No wonder a C6 is basically a C5.5 makes me wanna keep my FRC forever!
