Default DO NOT do business with Complete Dreams

I feel it is my responsibility to inform all the CF members of my situation,
as it could impact their wallets considerably.

Firstly, I have been quiet about this and have also been in touch with the moderators about this issue.

(I have all emails for documation between Complete Dreams, others, and myself also.)

It has now come time to go public.

Facts:

9 July 05: Ordered and immediately billed $2200 by "Michael" of Complete Dreams" for a set of wheels. I was told that it would be 6 weeks before delivery. No problem, I said.

24 Aug 05: I asked for a refund, due to non-receipt of wheels. Michael said he would credit my account and that it would take 4-5 working days. No problem, I said.

31 Aug 05: I contacted Michael and told him I STILL had not received any credit. His response: The first credit "did not take" and that he had to re-submit. He also (again) stated that I should see my refund in 3-5 working days. No problem, I said.

8 Sep 05: At my breaking point. I still have received no credit to my account and have emailed Michael stating that I have notified my bank and credit card company that I have been billed $2200 and have received no merchandise and have asked for a credit to my account on TWO separate occasions from Michael at "Complete Dreams"

I, now, STRONGLY urge all Corvette Forums members to NOT do business with this vendor.

Before you totally trash the guy, lets see what he has to say. Most times they are ordered from another source and if they drop the ball , he catches the flack.
You will not lose a dime ,your credit card co. will just charge it back.

Thanks for the heads-up. They will not be getting any of my hard earned $$$$.

I've been ripped off before by a small business like this and I know how you feel.

Probably a simular situation - small company operating on a shoe string and can't afford to buy inventory, so they take your money and wait for others to make orders too. Then when they have enough to buy in volume they place an order or they spend your money on business expenses.

I guess they're not smart enough to realize that word-of-mouth can help or hurt a business.

Thanks again, you probably saved a few of us some major heart burn.

I placed an order with him 8/25. He billed my card the same day. It has been three weeks today and I have received no products! Makes me mad!

Emailed him today, but no response.

Similar experience. I'm out much, much less and have just written it off as "buyer beware" and education.

See this thread, which is "locked" down but does have some postings from you.

Something smells here. In the past, he has been on the forum every waking moment, and lately, nothing.

You're NOT paying attention..........he credited my account TWICE, since the 23 of August. What part of "I have received NO CREDIT yet" do you NOT understand?

I am a one of the MANAGERS of a HARLEY DAVIDSON dealership ( for the last TEN years) and know that it doesn"t take this long to credit ones account......................I'll bust his chops forever................if THATS WHAT IT TAKES.

He could have sent me a CHECK, MONEY ORDER, hell, I have even taken cash in a box if he wanted...........

AND, the fact that I had to constantly email HIM asking for the status of my wheels doesn't help the Customer Satisfaction Index much....

Do a charge back through your credit card company provided you are not past the time limit(60 days at most banks). Not defending Complete Dreams or any other company, but they are resellers, they usually have to pay for merchandise before their supplier will ship, especially if they are a small company and not ordering much from the supplier. At Carlisle I spoke to a factory rep(nothing to do with Complete Dreams at all), he flat stated that some of the so called group purchases would not and do not go through because they are small companies and do not do enough business to "earn" a major group discount, period.

If it sounds too good to be true.... it usually is.

I support our forum vendors, but.... I do not accept major delays, when they are working with "my money".

After 30 days any retailer is required by must state laws to provide you with the option to cancel your order with a full refund.

Interesting to see if this thread stays alive.

Good info, thanks. I was about to order a set of wheels myself. Seems like anytime a member has a problem with a sponsor these threads get deleted or locked.

I also send him a money order for the Z51 Emblems. I doubt any of us will ever see those emblems.

He has probably already gone under and we are just now figuring it out.
