CARTEK/STS turbo C5 breaks into the 9s on drag radials!
Posting this for Mike R. while he's on the road.
He made some passes last night at Atco on DRs that netted his Cartek built C5 turbo a couple of 9 second time slips.
First pass: 9.92@138
Second pass: 9.88@137.95 on a 1.41 sixty foot
10 pounds of boost and on 93 octane pump gas
Video to follow
Congrats to Mike and Cartek

This is MIKE (STEALTHS CAR) Correct? A HUGE CONGRATS to HIM AND CARTEK!!! IF this is STEALTHS car it has to be a FORGED MOTOR as he is too smart in the big power LSX C5 World to run big power and then drag race the snot out of the car on its stock internals!!!
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well , I accomplished my first goal for this season , which was to go 9's on 93 octane in full street trim , with the same tires I drive on every day . I was a little skeptical of the new 16-inch Mickey Thompson drag radials , but these tires are the real deal , a 1.41 60ft on my second pass on the tires , if I can pull low 1.4's or high 1.3's on radials consistently I'll be psyched .
I want to thank all the guys at Cartek for building me another 9-second package , and this rear mount turbo is by far the most fun to drive on the street and the track . This is third time Cartek has got me in the nines , the first combo was stroker with nitrous , the second was all-motor NA , and now with the turbo , maybe I should try a supercharger next
Thanks Cartek and STS
Now the boost controller goes in , time to turn up the boost .

Hey Guys, buy STS kits from STS dealers who know what they are doing (Cartek). Don't buy a STS kit from a dealer across the country that sells it to you just above cost. The knowledge and experience of a good shop is priceless.

Congrats Mike. Your car sounds as mean on the track as it did on the street leaving the track. You need a rental to dial this biatch in. Cartek did one hell of a job with it.
Here's the video for those of you with no imagination Mike's 9.88
