Hard water stains off of glass?
Well I have hard water stains on my car's window... I can't get rid of them... I've tried the windex with vinegar.. no chance... I've washed it with Meguiars car wash, (which takes the stains off of the clear coat).. but no chance...
I was told by someone that Lime-a-Way works wonders... put it on full strength... no avail... the Limeaway might have lessened them a bit, but they are still there... its like they are etched in the glass...
Anyone that can help?!

You might try some light polishing compound, like Meguiar's #2 Fine Cut cleaner on a R/O buffer....
Also Griot Garage sells glass polishing compound.

BTW.. I think you are the 1st person I've seen, besides myself, that actually knows how to post a pic off a website without saving it to their own server

You may have already tried this but I have found that vinegar and water, mixed at least 50% vinegar works wonders. I don't know how much vinegar was in the windex/vinegar mix you used. I have used diluted vinegar before and it did not seem to work very well.
Good luck.

Actually, I havn't tried vinegar yet.. I am planning on that step next.. the windex was just one of those bottles that said, "with vinegar", so I imagine the vinegar content was below 1%.. I will get vinegar and try that straight... as I cant really harm glass... ...
Thanks for all the sugguestions... this place is k00l!

Ziano Glass Cleaner worked for me, so easy that it was magic. Meguire's PlastX took the spots off the acrylic top with some heavy duty rubbing. The Bar Keepers Friend is abrasive and will scratch if it hits dry glass.

I don't have water spots on my car windows, but I do clean my glass shower stall walls.
I've tried a *lot* of products...most of those mentioned. (except the clay bar lol)
I found a product that beats them all:
Spray it on, wait a minute then wipe off. The really, really stubborn water spots may take two treatments. It's awesome!!
Hope you find something that helps! (if so, please share)
