Default Need Z06 Info...

I'm looking at an 04 Z06, and the owner says that it is the rarest color for 2004 ie: Machine Silver. Can one of you Z06 gurus please verify this with production numbers. It would be greatly appreciated. He is asking a premium price for this car based entirely on the color. TIA

Well this is all the info i could find so far.

19U LeMans Blue Metallic NA NA 2,025 36%
41U Black WA-8555 $0 1,186 21%
67U Machine Silver Metallic NA $0 967 17%
70U Torch Red WA-9075 $0 876 15%
79U Millenium Yellow WA-423G $750 629 11%

The only premium color is the Yellow. It is also the Rarest of the year. followed by the Red and then the Machine Silver Metallic.

And these are just Z06 only production numbers not total 04 production numbers.

Hope this helps him drop the price some.
Bryan

ps if you want to see the actual link let me know and i will Pm it to you.

If I remember correctly Millennium Yellow is the only color that was additionally charged for. I believe it was either $750 or $1000 extra.

If he's basing the value of the car on the extra cost originally paid for the silver you should pay not more than $0.00 since silver wasn't extra.

The only notable thing about the silver is that it was a replacement color for the previous Quick Silver, which was discontinued in Feb. 2003 because it kept flaking off the car.

Is there any documentation regarding the above quote?

Machine silver is the rarest color OVERALL as it was only available on the 2004 Z06. Nearly all the other colours have been available before so in terms of numbers on the road, he's probably right.

Can't help you out with any online information - I got this from a reliable inside source - I did however see this first hand when searching for my Z06 as I ran across several 2003 Z06s with what appeared to be a large chunk of clear coat missing. The spot was still silver, just looked like a chip had come out and was dull in that area. In each case I saw myself the spot was between the size of a silver dollar and the size of my fist. These were at various dealers in the south east - none in the same place. One for example was at Jim Ellis in Atlanta - where they advised me the car had just come in (brand spanking new) and they could repaint that area to match.

I think they only produced either 124, or 140 (I can't remember for sure) Speedway White ones in 2001. RPO_Z06 has one, and it's a beautiful car!
