Can I Back Up On Rhino Ramps ????
I hope that this isn't a really dumb question but when I have to jack my car up it takes about three weeks to come back down to lowered ride height. I hate driving with the 4 wheeler look. I am wanting to get up under the car and do a little detailing but not before the temp drops under 100*. Maybe in another month or two.
Thanks, Kevin

Back up on them???..........ABSOFREAKINPOSITIVALUTE LY!!
I do it all the time, it's perfect.....some buy a second pair, drive the front up with two planks and then jack the rear up while the fronts up and it's like having a mini lift.

I learned this the hard way...I was backing up onto the ramps and one spun under the side of the car and cracked the fiberglass. It's on the uderside of the car, so I never got it fixed, but I'll never try backing up on the ramps again, that's for sure.

NO!!!! It says right on them not to back onto them with the powered wheels. I too learned the hard way with my gf's car. I shot them out from under the car so fast, I'm lucky the body didn't land on them!

If your car is lowered, don't try it, for reasons mentioned above.
Whether pulling or backing on them, always use some kind of mat underneith to keep them from moving.
I use a couple pieces of old carpet padding under the ramps to keep them from sliding. Works great!

I Did It A Week Ago To Change My Exhaust And It Was Ok Just Go Up As Slow As Possible And When Coming Off The Ramps Keep Your Foot On The Break And Slowly Roll Off. :d Hope This Helps

Now, I imagine when you guys have the problem of it rolling out from under, they go shooting to the rear of the car? My garage has a 3" step in it... as seen here in the top left corner:
I imagine I could put the ramps flush up to those and then back the car in? wouldn't that prevent any slipping?

With this being said, I think I would avoid backing onto them if it were me..

Fortunately a very good friend who builds show cars for GM is fixing it for me at cost.

Hey, I cant picture why you are backing the rear tires up the ramps to do an oil change. Am I missing something ?

I did put the ramps on some no-slip mats just to be safe. Just take it easy!
