Default Z06 Vette Tray - Week 3 Observations

Picked up a Vette Tray for my Z06 and have been driving around with it for a few weeks now.

So far, I am very pleased with it.

Perfect fit and looks great in the cargo area!

The storage tray comes in real handy and does a nice job holding my small items like my wallet, CD Case and sunglasses. No more items sliding all over the place in the back

The cupholders are OK but I have gotten much more useage from them as additional storage for my cell phone and loose change. I may have opted for the version with two trays instead of the cup holder if they were available when I bought mine.

Some other side benefits I have experienced are an additional reduction of noise and heat. The HD foam must provide some additional insulation.

All in all I am very pleased with the product and do recommend that other Z06 owners check it out. I think you'll like it too.

How deep are the tray and cup holders? Can the cup holders actually hold a can and are they reachable from the seats?

TIA

The tray and cupholders are 2in deep and sit flush with the lip in back of the seats seperating the cargo area. Since it sits flush, it looks like it actually belongs there.

The cupholders are OK for 12oz cans but I have gotten much more useage from them as additional storage for my cell phone and loose change. I may have opted for the version with two trays instead of the cup holder if they were available when I bought mine.

Its a very useful mod, at least for me

The tray and cup holders are 2inches deep and are flush with the lip behind the seats seperating the cargo area. The unit sits flush so it actually looks like it belongs there. You can easily reach the cup holders from your seat.

The cupholders hold 12oz cans but I have actually gotten a lot more useage from them as additional storage for my cell phone and loose change. As I mentioned before, I may have opted for the version with two trays instead of the cup holder if they were available when I bought mine.

So the cup holder is deep enough?

The way I drive, if I put stuff in that shallow tray it would end up all
over the place: behind the seats, in my trunk, etc. Glad it's working out
for you though...

I wonder if that will work with my Ecklers partition?

I wonder if they can make a custom one with the form of my DE.50?

I always carry it in my car and hate keeping it on the seat, it's too big to wedge between the seat and tunnel.

Looks interesting. What is the cost and source for one?

I've had mine about 10 days now and it has helped keep things in place, especially CD's that would slide from side to side. I too noticed a slight decrease in cabin noise. I do have a partition and DynaMat so any noise improvement is at the fringes.

All in all it's a functional product worth the cost ($120) IMHO.

Cheers

Tom

PS: I would have like the option to configure the tray, say 2 tray's with a can holder on either end.

Had mine for over a month now.

With the partition it really finishes off the back.

Highly recommended

I like it. I just whished that the tray had a lid or sliding lid/top to secure items in the tray.
