Frank, I'm in. In fact, if you want to meet up a little farther north, let me know. We can always meet up at "Dancers" at 8am.

Hey Jim, from my house in Lake Zurich (north of you and D&B) I think the mapquest said about 55 miles....so from D&B's I am guessing it's about 35-40 miles to the Airport...I could be off a little though I am not that good with directions

Jim-
It's not that different from going to the Autobahn. However, I would personally take 355-55-80 to 53, then left on Laraway and head east for a while. The airport will be on the left.

One question...since I wasn't there last year, what side of the airfield do we enter from as I think that there may be another way to get there quicker (and cover some less beaten up roads) than the route I just described?

I did a mapquest from Dave and Busters to the Airport (I prefer we stick with highway route, I hate stoplights )

Here is the link

http://www.mapquest.com/directions/m...o=nw&r=f&rmm=1

There is also a link to mapquest, and the address of the airport in Lord's thread if you don't join the caravan and go on your own.

hmmm and the rate some of the caravans have gone maybe...but I plan on keeping it mellow, we should find someone to lead who is more disciplined than me with speed...I need help don't want a ticket the mapquest I did from D&B's shows 49miles = 1 hour...I am sure we can make it quicker than that and still be reasonable with the speed

Actually, the best way to go is the way you just described, except the airport will be on the right hand side.
