Default My z51 has been Zeeeeeeeeeed!!!!!!!

Wow, Had my new ECM Programmed by Ron Zimmer of Z- Industries and with the Kook's Headers and corsa exhaust the car finally is what I thought I was buying.Amazing! Its like someone gave this puppy a shot of " Wake me up juice". Shifting gears is pure pleasure ,no more timing pull back, shift and snap your neck..... pull.No more CAGS,fans come on sooner to keep her cooler, she runs smooth as silk.Thankyou Ron my car runs Grrrrreat! Now I know why Lingenfelter endorses you.

Sweet, what did that puppy run you?
Also, is it programed to the mods you have?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Programmed for my Mods ( Kook's, Cats and fan temp lowered so I can add a thermostat if I want).Bought the ECM from Fred Beans shipped it to Ron has my Vin#,Dealer installed it (63.00) and did "Crank Variations Relearn".Still have my original ECM.Had the tech check with Tech2 and "No Codes". You wouldn't believe the difference when you shift gears.Shift and she pulls hard, almost effortlessly. Makes the car accelerate so much faster.
As far as price...call Ron! ECM was 250 or so with shipping.

I'm an ignorant noobie.

Could you please explain to me what this is and what it does? Is it like chipping an import like BMW?

Does it work with an auto?

Thanks.

Yup, Its the engine control module ( engine computer). Can be programmed for auto's and more advanced programming(shift points) would require flashing the TCM ( transmission control module). What does it do? Makes the car run better especially when shifting .

It's supposed to be "invisible" to the dealer unlike the LS2 edit....Just what I've heard.
