Default New pics of the custom box fabrication

The box is constructed and fits in the car like a glove (better than OJ's). So I finally pulled the trigger tonight and set the speaker ring and glassed in the face with material from a cotton t-shirt.

Here I secured the ring into the box with fiberglass putty.

t-shirt laying loose

t-shirt streched very tight, no wrinkles

I applied resin to the t-shirt and then put 1-2 layers of fiberglass matt over the top.

Back to work tomorrow so It'll be a while until I make more progress. I already have all of the pieces for the opposite side cut out and ready to go together, so it shouldn't take me nearly as long.

Thank you! I'll hold that as high praise since I know who it came from.

If you would like a free rebuff on your lights over the winter. Just let me know.

If you would like to see a full custom install in a mid year with very little room to work with go to empireaudio.net and click on photo gallery

Default 66 audio system

Just thought you may be interested in seeing the install.I do have an 02 but I am still listening to the lousy Bose system in that.Maybe after I get a decent system installed in my drag boat if I have any money left I will tackle upgrading the system in the 02.

Hopefully I'll complete the speaker panel rework this weekend and finally get started on the amp rack fabrication!

Good observation!!!! I did clean out the whole garge and rinsed off all the toys, bikes etc. Using the router to cut mdf rings works great but sure makes a mess!
