Default Anyone make a nice storage "tray" for just behind seats?

I often find myself reaching back there to put my sunglasses case, wife's purse, my wallet, etc.

Then opening the hatch to retrieve everything out from under my top.

Does anyone make a nice simple "tray" that could go just behind the seats with dividers that could possibly be carpeted to match, and simply held in with velcro?

If not I'm thinking on crafting one up out of wood and carpeting it. Some hinged covered compartments would be nice, but might require it to get to tall for what my goal is.

I'm going to do this. I'm making the partition from FixedRoofCoupe.com, and I'm making little compartments front and rear. I'm making one in the trunk so I can put a spare tire (I hear a GTO spare works great) so I can take one with me on long trips. I'm ditching the runflats soon. In the front, I think I'm just going to make some kind of divider. I may relocate my CD changer to the front side of the partition, so its easier to get to. I'll post pictures when its done.

its gotta be simple enough to make. cut and fit a cardboard template and then reproduce it on foam, cut a whole in the middle for a tray and carpet the foam. seems simple enough for me and shouldnt cost more than 20 bucks.

Front Holds glasses case & travel size kleenex
Made out of leather, always right where you need them.
Center compartment has a lid for the wife's purse
or wathever elses you want out of site, with a
raised C5 emblem on top. Open compartments on
each side with exterior matching colors
(torch red & black) for CDs, maps, Ballcap
for open top driving, a place for the itinerary
within easy reach for the cruse. I know
I know pictures its to late now if you want
to see I'll take pics tomorrow and post.
I have one in each vette would be lost without them now.

I had a local stereo shop make this one about 4 years ago. It includes 6 drink holders; 2 for regular soda's, 2 for coffee cups, and 2 that will hold the big cups from fast food places. It also has 2 covered storage compartments and a large open compartment in the middle. It's very useful. One of the best mods I've ever done.

Just ordered one from these guys a couple days ago.

www.southerncarparts.com

The VetteTray is sturdy yet lightweight weighing in at less than 1 pound. Our registered design is constructed of 2in foam which is factory cut and wrapped in closely matching black carpet for a perfect fit and finish.

Each VetteTray comes standard with (2) Drink Holders and a convenient 9x12in storage tray perfect for holding cellphones, PDA's CD's, wallets or any other small items.

We'll see how mine turns out.

I have a partition and I liked the way it looked with it.

Didn't hurt that it was $70 cheaper too

Wow! didn't expect such a response, I'm really liking the looks of the one with the small tray and two cup holders. Nice and clean.

But I am really excited to see some pics of the over the top one by tyler77, and the custom one corvette ssx has looks very nice too!

Thanks for all the input. Might have a cool project for the weekend.

I see they all have the appropriate "Corvette Tax" applied to the price.
