Voyage to Vegas: Trip Summary / Pics…

Well Gang, we did it!!! We made it to Vegas and back.
In case you missed what this trip was all about, here’s a quick reminder…a bunch of us crazies drove across country to Las Vegas to raise awareness and funds to aid in the fight against breast cancer…
Here’s a quick summary of the trip…
Number of Participants on the Voyage:
9 – from Atlanta to Bowling Green
7 – from Bowling Green to Oklahoma City
7 – from Oklahoma City to Albuquerque
9 – from Albuquerque to Las Vegas
Total Corvette Miles Traveled:
34,142 total round trip miles (as recorded from my car)
Participants from Atlanta to Bowling Green had 614 round trip miles
Participants from Atlanta to Vegas had 4630 round trip miles
Participants from Albuquerque to Vegas had 1148 round trip miles
Seat Time (time behind the wheel during the Voyage):
76 hours, 40 minutes, 15 seconds (elapsed time clocked in my car)
Average MPG in my ’99 FRC:
28.4 mpg (others had better)
States Visited:
Georgia
Tennessee
Kentucky
Arkansas
Oklahoma
Texas
New Mexico
Arizona
Nevada
California
Mississippi
Alabama
Number of Times Stopped by the Police:
Stopped once in Oklahoma. No ticket(s) given. Officer just suggested that we cruise in the right lane not the left lane…left lane is for passing only
Highest Temperature Encountered:
118 degrees in Death Valley, CA
Highest Gas Price Encountered:
$3.14 per gallon in Death Valley, CA (90 octane) – didn’t buy gas here
Lowest Gas Price Encountered:
$2.13 per gallon in Atlanta (93 octane)
Corvette Friends Encountered:
Countless

Jeff (American_HP on the Forum) and the staff at Saturn of Henderson (www.saturnofhenderson.com Saturn of Henderson played host to the Voyage participants, allowed us to have a show, and set up a donation area at the dealership.
