Oil Press. @ 100 psi ???
I just got my car back from motor rebuild and the oil press has pegged out at 100 lbs.
The first 30 miles or so on new motor it was running normal at around 40-50 psi then suddenly jumped to 100-130 depending on eng. speed.
Does this sound like an oil sending unit problem? If so could somebody tell me what's involved in changing it out?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What happens when you first turn on the car? If it screams to 80-100 prior to starting the car then it is the oil sensor in the manifold. Good luck with everything.

Oil presssure sending unit
I had two go on me. You need to take off the air bridge and intake manifold. Lots of hard plastic tubing that could be brittle. Be carefull and take your time. I changed the second one myself.

Test for a bad sensor: turn the key on to cycle the gauges but DO NOT start the motor. A bad sensor will show a pressure when the motor IS NOT running.
