Turn-around for Motor Work/Exhaust LPE C6/C5
What is the average turnaround at LPE for an engine redo (402/427?) and cost? I know there web has prices but if you dropped off a C6/C5, how long before you got it back, and cost?

Check out thier website or give them a call. According to thier C6 427 page, normal install time is 4-5 weeks for a sleeved 427 NA package. http://www.lingenfelter.com/pack_cor_c6_427dt.htm
The 402 is only 3 weeks. http://www.lingenfelter.com/LS2C6402CID.htm
Give Jeff or Ed a call up there and they will be more then happy to answer all your questions. 260-724-2552

Z51 6 spd... very impressive gains and at about 4500 rpm up to 7000... (as per the dyno...have not done yet due to wanting to do a 200 mile break in of the cam etc.) numbers just keep climbing over stock...where things are dropping off at about 6000 on stock LPE setup is just climbing and climbing... I have taken to 6500 rpm runs (quick up then cool down) and wow this car moves...not that the stock C6 doesn't but now it is in rare performance territory. Very driveable, no cam looping at idle and just a great upgrade. Unfortunately I am out of town so not driving my Vette . Also the sound with the Corsa sport and X pipe is very very cool...deep throaty and a WOT ... I will post the pre and post dyno results. LPE was great to deal with, took care of MR Blu and install was flawless...and the bonus since they upgrade the drive pully no worry about damn thing falling off They also reduce the torque management intrusion...that makes for a big diff.

Hi Steve40th-
We are currently scheduling cars about 3 weeks out, and we would need your car here for 4 weeks to do the stroker package. What we do is have you put your deposit down when you schedule the job so that we can start on the heads, rotating assy. Etc. before the car gets here.
As an example, if you scheduled the job next week(5/16/05) we would have the car back to you by 6/24/05. If you are on a time crunch, I will make sure we meet whatever deadline you are working under.
Please feel free to give me a call if I can answer any questions for you,
Thanks!
Ed

Hi Michael I'm interested in the same package from LPE. Just wanted to see if you had an update. Also a few questions are you worried about the clutch holding up and did you lose any low end power or throttle response compared to stock? Thanks in advance

Have the first c6 lpe did with package have an auto car is very strong , I have ran 12.34 at track on stock tires. car could be much better at start but once it gets moving it is a beast. I have spoke with gram and has learned or found some things is his program that shood help low speed throttle response. my car should be back to them in about two weeks to re program . they have been great to work with.

Mine's pretty well done - finishing touches put on from what Tim's told me. They've had it since end of May, so about 4 weeks looks to be their install time now, though I know they got in a good load of cars just after mine and got a little backed up.
