Default CCW SP500s for sale

*** Sold as of 5/10/05 ***

I'm looking to sell my CCW SP500s.

I had previously posted a thread about trading the wheels but have decided to sell them outright.

I'm asking $3100 firm. I will work with out-of-town buyers but shipping will be at the buyer's expense. For out-of-town buyers, I'd be happy to work a deal through escrow.com. Its a service that safeguards both the buyer and seller.

The reason I'm selling the wheels is that I will be adding a supercharger soon. I want to switch to drag radials in order to maximize traction on the street and track without having the switch wheels back and forth. I love my SP500s but not being able to get 19" drag radials forces me to sell them.

I purchased the wheels in late November but have not driven on them much due to winter weather. The car stays in the garage unless its above 50 degrees and there's no rain in the forecast. I think the tires and wheels have less than 250 miles on them.

You can see some fairly recent pics of my Vette on CCW's website. Just click on the link below and then click on the gallery.

My Vert with SP500s

The wheels are 19x10/19x11 and have 2001+ tire sensors. The tires are Pilot Sports. I will only sell the entire package (wheels, tires, and sensors). I will not split it up. The cost would be about $4000 to duplicate this setup brand new.

I prefer local pickup but will consider out-of-town deals if we can come to an agreement about inspection and shipping parameters. I live in Springfield, MO.

I will be in the Dallas area in 3 to 4 weeks to drop my car off at 21MC to have the supercharger installed. I may be able to meet someone at 21MC to do a transaction.

Thanks for looking.

Let me know if you have questions.

I have already purchased a set of Nittos that are on the way. I bought 555s in 17/40/255 for the fronts and 555Rs in 18/35/285 for the rears. If your Fikse's are a 17/18 setup that would fit my Nittos then I might be interested...but I wouldn't need the tires.

Thanks for your interest.

Lots of views but not much interest so far.

Feel free to make a reasonable offer. The worst that could happen is I say "no." But, maybe I'll accept your offer.

No problem. I just need 17" fronts.

My wife just called to tell me my Nitto setup arrived from Discount Tire.

Price has been changed from $3500 obo to $3350 obo. This is a nice deal on a great set of wheels and tires.

Those of you looking to get CCWs, get off the fence and make it happen!

Looking at your pictures they look pretty good but sometimes defects can only be picked out in person, are there any defects you can see on the wheels?
How many miles on the tires?
I have a 99 coupe with the original wagon wheels and am in need of tires, will these sensors work on the 99?
If not can I interchange the sensores with the ones I currently have?
Also, would they fit on my 99 without interfering the body, currently it has 17" and 18".

I'm not sure of the exact mileage on the tires/wheels. I should have written that down. I know its less then 1000 miles and most likely less than 500 miles. I have only put 2900 miles on the car since I bought it last July. Most of that mileage was put on between driving the car home from Texas when I bought it, and driving the car to and from Dallas to get the head/cam package installed by 21MC last summer.

The tires/wheels were purchased in November and installed in early December but I only drove the car much a few times during the winter. I only drive the Vette on nice days. I'll try to get some close-up pics this weekend, and give the wheels a closer inspection. I don't know of blemishes but I'll report any I find.

The sensors on these wheels are for a 2001+. I'm not sure of a way to get them to work for your 99. You would need to swap the sensors from your 99. I think it would cost your about $100 dollars to have a tire shop do the swap. Then, you should be able to sell the 01 sensors for about $100 here, maybe more.

This setup should bolt right on to your 99 without any problems. I think the only way you could have a problem is if you have an aftermarket set of big brakes. I previously had the stock 17/18 setup and this CCW setup bolted right on without any trouble. The rear tires will sit flush with the fender, which I think looks nice.

Let me know if you have other questions.

My MCM hood came in and I'm dropping off the Vette tomorrow for install and paint. My tires should be mounted and installed by the middle of next week.

So...I'm as little more motivated to sell. The price is now $3100 Firm Of course, shipping would still be extra and at the buyer's expense.

I have another deal pretty much worked out if I can't get $3100. I will take that deal if no one buys them for $3100 by the time I get my Nitto setup installed.

One other thing. If you don't want/need the sensors. I'll give you $125 to ship them back to me after you have them removed. This should just about cover the cost to have the wheels mounted and sensors swapped (if you already have your own 97-00 sensors and need to swap them).

Fronts are 275/30/19

Rears are 295/35/19

I'm doing this from memory. My car is at the body shop having a MCM hood installed and painted. I know the 275/19 and 295/19 parts are correct. I'm pretty sure on the sidewall heights but not absolutely certain. I'll verify when I get the car back on Monday or Tuesday. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for looking!

Scott
