Default TTP Stage 4R H/C Package Shakedown Passes Results - FBody

First full pass of the day. DA was around -50 to +50 all day, not a bad day but not the best.

TTP Stage 4R Heads/Cam Combo Stock 346ci Bottom End
- AFR 225cc Finish/Port Polished in House
- TTP Equalizer V 3.1 Camshaft
- LSX 90mm Intake Port Matched w/ NW 90mm TB
- 9" Spool, 35 Spline, 4.11 Gears

Car was bogging in 1-2-3 gears, tuning was not complete (Running around 12.4:1 A/F) because at 1:45AM this morning the cops, shut our dynojet down

We're going with another tuning method on this car, so it will be even faster next time out. Without the bogging there was at least another 2-3 tenths in the car. Weather got ****ty as the day went on so numerous 10.8x passes were made after this one.

Pretty stout. What compression ratio? Is this on the 72cc base heads?

Nice MPH. I still can't understand how these heads and cam cars have a higher mph in the quarter verses a blown car with 550+ rwhp. Can someone explain this to me?

I always thought with the blowers power curve being higher in the rpm band that it would mean less spinning off of the line and better times, not to mention the fact of 70+ more rwhp. I want to go the blower but everytime I see these posts I want to switch back to the heads and cam. I damn near got smoked by a sl55 and was BARELY pulling him in!

on a drag package, traction isnt an issue on all motor cars or cars making under 700hp

So you think on the street with regular street tries the blower car would win?

not from my experience

most blower cars always have little issues. With a perfect working blower car and a really good driver, it might be a good race.

You have to make sure there is no blet slip type problems and also have to shift as high as possible because the curve is so peaky.

A lot of is different type of crowd though. The NA crowd is more track oriented and likely to have gears etc making it more in their favor usually.

Nice run!

BTW, has ATCO changed their timing equipment? They used to record "990 ft" time but based on your timeslip it looks like they have changed it to 1000 ft.

Matt,

Nice number. Kind of puts to rest those who say the AFR's don't perform on the track.

Nice going!
Is this timeslip for a vette?
What size rear tires were u running?
You mentioned that you ported and polished the 225 heads in house.
I'm assuming there's additional charges for that besides the price for the 225's and labor to install?
Can u give more details on the car? (ie. hp)

I think Pete's car weighs a little less than 3200lbs , he's always looking for every ounce of ET . What's the quickest time you've pulled out of a " C5 Corvette " with heads/cam , stroker ?

We did not get to use the scales at Atco. He was 3265 before we removed the pass airbag, drivers airbag (Put in simulator so only saved 5 lbs), abs module, cruise control, power steering. I'd put him in around 3200-3210, I have to weigh the crap we took out.

We don't have track #s yet on our Stage 3R package that just went on a Z06. Still building the differential actually. Car dyno'd in at 491rwhp/422rwtq N/A heads/cam full belts, with TPIS LTs with cats. We swapped over to Kooks with offroad x-pipe and did a little more work on the heads.
