Nice! but can you tell me when you plan on delivering all of the 5 speeds that were ordered last year and have still not been delivered? Maybe Shafi can tell me why Keissler has not delivered the transmissions they promised delivery in February - and still no trannies - and at least 3 seperate excuses! I would really like to know exactly why it's taking so long - and when in reality I can expect delivery!

From where I stand a company ought to live up to it's existing obligations before they go looking for more !

How much torque will the 6 spd handle?
When will you be able to deliver it?
When will you be able to deliver your 5 spd?

Will either mount up to a scattershield?

Please let us know,

Thanks

I am not trying to stoke the flame, but just an FYI, back in Septemeber they told me I could have it by Christmas.

Obviously they are struggling fro some reason. I hope they get it figured out. I know I could have got it installed if hey could have at least got me the tranny.

Robert did send me an e-mail asking for specifics. So I hit the "reply to" button and wrote up a detailed account. Unfortunately after I sent it I got an "undeliverable" invalid address message - so I have no idea whats going on!

PS - I sent the message from 2 different e-mail programs and 2 different browsers and even 2 difdferent computers - so far no luck!!!

What is strange about the situation is the transmission is coming from Tremec, and they supposedly got their supply backlog cleared up long ago...

I dont' think that was the problem. The reason why it never shipped out was because they were having fabrication issues. However, the fact that now they are marketing A NEW transmission (the 6 spd V the 5 spd) to the public and still haven't finished their "back orders" is the question.

Carl Johansson, I suggest you call them. It may be the e-mail address you are using is invalid. Give em a call and let us know what's going on!

There were only two fabrication issues I could see when I was considering the TKO 600 5-speed.

1. is the need for a piece to be bolted onto the tail stock of the tranny and onto the C-beam, not a big deal

2. I was not postiivie whrer the shifgter wouild end up and how much console trimming would be required.

I woudl ahev used my stock style 1985 CLutch, Bellhousing, pressure plate and bought the Tremec yoke, TKO 600, shifter, back up switch etc. I was going to get mine here

Default TKO Delivery Times - Whoa miss a day on the forum ...

.....Whoa miss a day on the forum and you miss a lot !!!!

My apologies gents. I did not check the forum Wednesday evening.

5 Speed deliveries -

The delay was originally slow supply from Tremec, but that is solved for the TKO500. We are playing catch-up and quickly gaining ground. In addition to having a good supply of new trannies we have also added several new employees, so TKO500's will now ship in 2-4 weeks from order. TKO600 5 Speed and T-56 6 Speed kits have about a 6 week turn around. The C4 6 speed kit is still a few months away from full production, since we want it to be thoroughly tested before we start selling it.

If you have TKO500 kit orders that are more than 5 weeks old, please call the company!

Now that supply and staffing issues are settled (so we won't be re-creating the same delivery problems), Shafi Keisler, the company owner, is personally concentrating on making our customers happy and letting them know we are committed to taking care of them.

I'll post this as a "new topic" also.

Default Some more 6 speed info

Hello -

The C4 six speed kit won't go into full production for another 3-4 months in order to allow us time to thoroughly test it. The test car is using the 475Hp version of the T56. This is a very conservative power rating.

The kits will be complete just like our other kits. We have not determined the price yet, but it will be several hundred dollars more than the 5 speed kit since the T56 is a more expensive transmission and there will be more components in the kit.

If you would still like to go ahead and place an order so you can be at the front of the line when we start production, we can take a $500 deposit instead of the standard $1000. I expect this to be a very hot selling conversion!

You can see the 6 speed test car at the Vette Expo in Knoxville this weekend.

Thank you for your interest, and please let me how I can help you.
