Default Rear end oil leak

Today I put the car on a lift to change the engine oil. Inspecting the underbody I saw the signs of an oil leak at the rear end diff.
Anybody else has that happened?

Default Don't get to nervous

This might be reaching but it happened to me in my C5, but not in my C6. Sometimes they over fill the rear end, and some of it comes out the breather tube and looks just like a leak. I even over filled it once.

I'm told it was a common occurence with the C5's. Unfortunately it's not coming of the vent tube. It seems to be leaking from the internal gasket 4 or 5" above from where the vent tube terminates.

I have C6 with about 1700 miles on it....mine was leaking 2 or 3 drops a week..i hoped it would quit but it didn't.i took it to the dealership and they put it on the rack and said it was rear end oil leaking where the transmision hooks up to rear end,the seal had a crimp in it from the factory.the tech. said he had about 8 corvettes that were leaking at the rear, all the others were leaking at the left wheel.mine was the first he had seen with trans.-rear end seal problem...hope this helps....Mike

Mike , I think mine is leaking from the same spot as yours did. Did he have to drop the rear end? Did he have to allign the wheels again?

Looks like I'm having the same problem. Are we starting to see a pattern here? I have 2000 miles on mine, VIN 14361. Will be taking it in to the stealer this week.
