LED tails ... Dial Up Warning
For those of you looking for LED tail lights but don't want the average $500 price tag that comes along with them, I'm trying out these new bulbs I found (#3157, at about $20/bulb from
www.autolumination.com ). The problem with the old bulbs was the LED's were pointed straight back and the light beams had nothing to bounce off of. So here you go ... the new design ...
My first impression was WOW.
Even in daylight, you can see the difference. LED on the left, Halogen on the right.
They respond just like the OEM LED 3rd brake light (immediate on/off) no lag when you step on the brake pedal as from the halogen bulbs. At night, WOW
again ...
Hope this is helpful to anyone considering this mod.
Dave Q.
Did my map lights in blue LED's ... caught a good shot tonight when I got home. Just wanted to share ...

Nice job. I always admired the LED tailights on the new Cadillacs.

Looks good, but it looks like the LEDs are not as red as the previous bulbs.

Awesome! I was wondering when they were going to come out with a better LED bulb for the rear.

So the big question is where did you get them? This sounds like a great way to go.
