** QTP Tri-Y Headers on Z06 **

UPDATE ** QTP Tri-Y Headers on Z06 ** with new ET
Hey ya'll,
Finally got the QTP Tri-Ys installed on my '04 Z06. Sorry for the delay, but work was sending me all over the place the past couple of months.
Before we get technical, let me tell you that THE CAR RIPS with these headers. Its an entirely new car, low end power is amazing and its difficult to keep in a straight line. Fit and finish is awesome and the headers went in very, very easy. The guys at ECS said these were the easiest of all the headers to install.
Anyways, before you look at the graphs, here is some info. I went 11.93 @ 119 in completely stock trim (including stock tires). Due to poor machining (the official Chevy determination), the motor blew at 11,200 miles, and was replaced under warranty with a new crate motor. Unfortunately, this install occurred with only 700 miles on the new motor, so the hp is still way down until it loosens up. The only mod on the car when the baseline was set was a VaraRam Vr1b, which is probably why the A/F reading is low.
Anyways, the second pull displays the headers plus tuning by ECS, nothing crazy here, just a base tune.
New best as of 3/19/05.. on street tires (F1 Supercars) at 23psi
Temp 50
Rel Humid. 49
Barometer 30.45
60': 1.760
330: 4.932
1/8: 7.512
MPH: 95.73
1000: 9.734
1/4: 11.611
MPH: 119.77
Any questions, feel free to post or PM.

At 4700 rpms it was a gain of 36.8 hp and 34.1 tq
363.2-326.4=36.8hp
335.8-301.7=34.1tq

Nice gains although I don't understand your math: 371.8 - 340.1 = 31.7 HP gain, you list 36.8 HP gain in the chart.
I keep hearing how easy they are to install, and really want them, but they are just to darn expensive. I'm about to pull the trigger too, most likely gonna go with Supermaxx due to overall value.
Don't want to jack up the motor or anything like what I hear you need to do with LG's or Kooks, I'll have to remove and re-install the stock system when I go for smog.
C'mon Barry, cut me a deal!

I have them on my vert, very easy installation. You are right, as soon as I took the car out and tried it I couldn't believe the difference. Getting the ol "Traction Control Active" is real easy now
I am going to be installing a Vararam and Shaner Throttle Body this spring, along with the C6 shifter. I am hoping between the throttle body and the Vararam to pick up another 10 HP or so.

nice gains from Lts....sorry about motor failure good to hear GM replaced but what year is "crate motor" (?) the baseline (w/Vararam) seems low at 340rwhp...even the complication of only 700 miles on crate motor....good news is the 372rwhp is closer to the expected for those mods being about 380rwhp...at about 2000 miles should have picked up another 8rwhp? ... good luck.

Not trying to hyjack.. just a lot of misinformation going around. I installed my LG's myself, the time is worth it.
