Default Momo steering wheel, I LOVE IT!!

Some of you might have been following the saga of my installing a Momo steering wheel in our C5 over on the C5 Tech pages. We have 3 photos of the completed install now posted on our personal C5 web page, just scroll down when you get there.

I've always thought the stock steering wheel was way too large for such a tight feeling car.

Looks great

isn't it illegal for street use to remove a factory steering wheel w/an airbag to a non-airbag wheel?

It is not legal to manufacture an automobile for sale to the general public so equiped. Many of the modifications discussed on the forum involve alteration of emissions and safety equipment. Different states have different laws and equipment requirements. Depending on the State of registration, a car so equipped or modified may not be approved.

I also have Schroth 5 point harnesses that are FIA, and SCCA certified. Much safer than anything fitted by GM. Schroth has recently put into production a version of their full race spec harnesses that has a push-button on the lock, rather than the traditional rotating release...The new pushbutton IS FULLY DOT APPROVED!!! AS far as I know this is the first full race harness system actually approved by the DOT for street use. All it took was a stupid push button!

I have a also posted extensive legal disclaimer and warnings about vehicle alterations on the threads that discussed the actual installation. This thread is just to let the poeple who were asking for pictures know where they can see them.
