Default Vette Doctors Rx Twin Turbo is Alive!

We have been building a real special car for one of our real good customers Gus. He had a real special package in mind and never once sacraficed quality or time to get it right.

We have finally finshed the project and just got finished breaking it in so we can now start tunning it. Gus's beast has become the prototype for the upcomming Vette Doctor's Rx Twin Turbo. We are very close to releasing the end package's full details but for now I can share some.

The motor was completely rebuilt with all the best forged parts. It has a custom Vette Doctors cam. The Turbos are our custom designed units (3rd generation) which are capable of over 40psi! We are also using for the first time a prototype Triple Disk Exedy Clutch which we have been working with Exedy on. The jigs for all the Turbo plumming are about complete so the fabrication for the next sets are not too far off.

We will be tunning the car this week and will get some dyno numbers posted soon. Here are a few pictures of the car and engine and 2 videos of the car idling and running. The car runs great and is very streetable!

Once tuned, the car is scheduled to go off to NRC for a back half so Gus can realize its full potential in our Pro 8!

I like to THANK the whole crew of the VETTE DOCTORS CARMEN, DENNIS & JOEY for a wonderful job putting this nightmare together and for putting up with me. I was a long road but everything came together beautifullly.

Bob, after the motor was build and everything assembled, Carmen gave me the keys to break in the motor. Well, after 5-600 miles I had to see what it had in her. I was in the LIE expressway, a nice 03-04 Mustang Cobra wanted to play. I was in fifth, downshifted to fourth and half throttled her. I never in my life had a car go sideways at 125 mph at only 8 psi.. The guy in the Cobra just waved me on. So I think hooking up with the stock C5 suspension will be a problem.

Thanx Again Vette Doctors! Can't wait to take her the track.

What do you think the estimate for this set-up would be?

OMG...that looks good enough to go into MOMA! What a work of art. Another big score for the VetteDoctors, and an even bigger score for customer Gus.

Looks like cast exh. manifolds with 1/2 inch plates?

Is this this case?

Thank You everyone
It made 821 rwhp with 12 lbs. at 5800 rpms but the clutch let go. Smoked up the whole shop. The engine is made to spin to 7200rpms.
For tuning we had Turbo People build a DFI Gen 7 box. It's a stand alone unit ( that's the reason for no drive by wire) but still retains all the factory gauges. Thanx Carmen
Price, well I lost count but definetely invested went well over 6 figures in this hobby, ( INCLUDING VEHICLE) that I can honeslty tell you. The manifolds are cast with a very thick flange. Not like some other companies that are coming out using SS which is prone to cracking.
Hopefully with this new Exedy triple plate clutch we can get try to get the tuning right and break the 1000 rwhp mark ( which will be no problem with these turbos and set up) on 93 octane and meth injection. No lead or additives. Just dont have a chance to drive it around and put break in miles.
