Finally! Tech Tips on how to change your DIC, Mirror, and HVAC Lights to LEDs! + Pics
After MANY MANY hours in the cold, and quite a few more inside working on my website, I finally made Tech Tips on how to change LEDs for most everything in the car (I have not made one for the lights under the feet or in the trunk, but will do those eventually).

I would like to formally thank a few members from Corvetteforum.com who helped out with these modifications. A big thank you to Dave (EFI-1) for doing the original write up of the Rearview Mirror LED Install. Another big thank you to Doug (WhiteC5Vette) for e-mailing me diagrams of the mirror, and taking time out of his schedule to figure out how to take it apart. Lastly, thanks to Rob (CUlookin).
More pictures of the LED modifications at nighttime can be seen here -

Enjoy!

Looks awesome Carleton
Nice job on the tech tip too, even though you claim "it is not a very good one", you're the only one who took the time to put one together, so big kudos are in order
I agree that the project is a PITA, but it's the finishing touch when all the other bulbs have been swapped to LED's, and well worth it IMO.
P.S. I like your strobes, I think that's gonna be my NEXT project... after changing the diff and trans fluids to Redline and swapping out my red neons for blue cold cathode tubes and ...

Those look very cool. I'm going to save the instructions on how to do this for a potential future mod to my car. Thanks for taking the time to document this and sharing it with the forum.

Yeah Carleton - I know the mods were a lot work and doing the write-up would be even harder for me, but man we appreciate it.
Thanks
