Better off waiting for a 2015?
At this point in time is it better to wait for a 2015?
I found a couple of 2014's that have almost all the options I wanted.
Convertible, Z51, exhaust, mag ride, etc.
Supplier pricing is available now on the 2014's is it safe to assume that discount will be on 2015 also?

I am waiting because I want a Z06, But even if the New Z06 is priced above my price range I will still buy the 15 over a 14, For me the only reason I will be buying a 15 over a 14 is because I want an auto trans, and so far from what I hear and have read the new Auto trans will be very bad ***. If you want a stick take advantage of the great deals that are out there on the 14s.

If you are willing to buy out of dealer inventory and are happy with a 2014, now is the time to buy, with end of model year discounts popping up all over the place.
Many dealers won't honor supplier pricing on corvettes and are only doing so now to move the 2014s. Ask your dealer if they will honor supplier discounts on the 2015.

At this late in the model year you are much better off waiting for a 2015. I personally wouldn't buy a 2014 unless it's Invoice - 3%
Dealers are already giving supplier on 2015's. I searched high and low for a 2014 a month ago, a dealer was willing to give supplier on a Z51 Vert but I had such a terrible time getting answers, promises of calls or emails never amounted to anything. So I decided to just order a 2015. My situation was different as I was not "pressed" for a C7 because I had a 2014.
Order a 2015 from Les Stanford for supplier, I bet you get your car in October.

If you're in New York unless you're planning on driving it in any weather your driving time is pretty limited this year. I'd wait until the snow flies and pick up a 2015 then. You'll probably be able to buy one for no more than buying a 2014 now.

If you are planning on keeping the car for a long time, then get the 14, but if you plan on selling it in a couple of years, the 2015 will appear to be 1 year newer.

All comes down to this, do you want to enjoy driving it the rest of the summer, or do you want to wait and drive it a little during the fall and store it until next summer. Your choice, only you can make it....

Me thinks I may have constraints like Z51, Canadian, low allocation dealer, 2LT coupe but with Nav/PDR - in other words I *may* get a 2015 despite my one grand deposit. Maybe my option combo has the General baffled and scratching their heads

I can tell you from experience that getting a new C7 in October and then storing it for 5 months a month or so later was NOT fun. I had no choice, the C7 wasn't shipped until early Sept but you have a choice. Since you want manual transmission I recommend you buy one and drive it now!
You will LOVE this car!

With the 2015 you will get the video camera for an additional $1,000 with navigation option total cost $1750 1LT, 2LT included 3LT which is now priced higher + $1,000 (navigation or video forced on customer) and two additional DIC displays, that you may use or not. When you really get into options the 2014 costs less. Trade-in return unknown at this time. Drive now or later, Winter is coming - the way the jet stream is currently cycling I'm afraid it is going to be another horror.

As far as the overall car is concerned, there's not much - if any - difference between the 2014s and the 2015s. If you want an automatic and must have the 8 speed, then wait. The A6 is a great tranny and well proven. If you want manual, then it's really up to how much you want certain options and how log you are willing to wait. If you find the car you want at a dealership, then you have some thinking to do.
The real issue is resale down the line. A 2015 will be worth more than a car that's a model year older. Plain and simple. All other things being equal if you pay roughly the same for a 2014 off a lot or a 2015 via order, the '15 will be worth more. Then again, you might miss out on months of fun times.
Whatever you decide, make the call and don't look back.

Currently there are no used car book values available, on the 2014 Sting Ray. $10,000 first year depreciation? Could be! Based on this figure, my (2014) car's actual depreciation will be about $5,000 to $7,000. I selected options with return value in mind and my car was purchased days before the April price increase.

Already happened with other daily drivers.... I will store it and enjoy it during warmer weather...
