Default Z06 exhaust on C5?

Hey guys, I see the Z06 exhaust up for sale a lot in this forum. I need replacement mufflers. Is this a good upgrade? Would just the mufflers bolt onto my 1999 c5? Would I need the whole exhaust?

Other ideas?

Bolt on (but you need to get the car up in the air a bit, lift is best).

They are much lighter and supposedly flow much better.

I had a set on my '99 'vert and I really liked the slightly more aggressive sound. A good and relatively inexpensive mod.

Swapped out my standard factory system for the Z06 exhaust. You will not believe how light the Z06 system is compared the standard version. Also, the sound is much better with the Z06 system. You won't be disappointed.

Probably the cheapest way you can go for a quality set up.

Yes, the Z06 titanium exhaust is a direct replacement for your current exhaust. And you lose some weight from the car by putting the Ti exhaust on.

geek,
I'll simply concur with everyone else; I think the Ti exhaust is one of the sleeper deals of the century. Foreign exotics fall all over themselves at the thought of having a titanium exhaust, and here we have one standard on our little ole' Corvettes (okay, Z06s)

Try using StateWideList.com for your state. If you're patient, you'll find one for a decent price.

Awesome exhaust! If I didn't need a 3 inch catback I would have kept my Ti's and had the bypass mod done...

Here's Carlton's Z with bypass mod. Car was head/cam/catless headers at the time.. Sounds great though.

Did the same for my '02 Coupe.

Love the weight reduction and sound (with my LT Headers / X-Pipe).

I put a LG Street Series system with HF Cats and used a Z06 Ti in the back and it sounded great. Can't go wrong with the Z06 Ti's.
