Default LS7 vs LS2 exhaust system differences

Dyno sheets and photos of pre and post Z06 LS7 exhasut system are available on www.ls1tech.com/forums/ in the Generation IV external engine section under the thread LS7 exhaust on LS2 = 30 HP. The LS3 exhaust manifolds are similar to cast LS2 manifolds, but have a D shaped port instead of round.

Here's a nice cut away pic of the Z06 manifolds. GM also uses these on the LS9

Default LS 7 exh manifolds

So I will ask again , will someone build extensions to the LS7 manifolds to about 20 to 25 inches to simulate headers.
The transition on the stock LS 7 exhaust looks very restricted going from the manifold into the catalytic converter.
Why build the extensions ? Well it will be similar to a header , will not look like headers except from the bottom , and will flow like headers.
Anyone ? ?

they look great but in reality I cannot believe the header portion alone would provide any more RWHP than the now discontinued shorties made by Callaway...that is about 8 RWHP.

Two separate threads with dyno results that belie that. What would be their motive for falsifying the dyno results?

I saw that 8 RWHP figure quoted for Callaway shorties too. I also heard from a local tuner that the Z06 Manifolds and Cats were good for less than 10 RWHP. Maybe the rest of the HP comes from the 3" exhaust tubing and Catback in the rest of the system?

Two different threads, but were both started by the same person?

Maybe they have some Z06 manifolds sitting around gathering dust that they want to sell. : j/k

Don't think so... If they were they used different names. First thread claimed 30hp - that strains credibility. Second was about 20 as I recall - more credible. What ever - that is what I am going to use on my new Forged 415ci LS3. Don't want to test the emissions inspectors, you see
