South Florida Cruise for Officer Jose Somohano
Alright guys, our local club SSP is gathering people together for a benefit cruise in honor of Officer Somohano. As some of you know he was the officer killed after a shootout with Shawn Sherwin Labeet. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20760201/
We are in the planning stages right now while we nail down info to send to MDPD, but I would like as many people to join this as possible. Here is the info gathered thus far:
* Cruise should be a $20 buy-in per car.
* I would like to collect the money ahead of time 1 week before the cruise.
* The cruise path should originate in Cutler where the crime occured and end in Broward. Maybe in some local park?
* If we can get it catered maybe a BBQ at the final location? If not we could meet up at a restaruant and have lunch?
* I would like to get a minimum of 30 car to commit before we have this cruise, does it sound possible?
*Finally all proceeds will go to the family of Jose Somohano, I would like to see if any of his immediate family members would like to ride on with us.

we will have it on a Saturday, however we have yet to nail down a date. It really depends on MDPD and what they would like, also when the majority of people can make it.

This Sat and weekend of Oct 5th+6th are out but any other time I'm in. If I can't go I'll still send in money.
