Beautiful! I remember when the 2 tones came out. I was about 10 years old. When you are that height these things look even better - try it sometime; stoop down a little and peer over the lines from a lower vantage point. The fender arches seem even higher and the tail seems lower. Very sexy.

Default Low production?

Did I read somewhere that the two/tone cars were either very low production #'s or the last one's made that year or something along those lines. Bad memory, anyway it's a Nice car, good luck.

Looks good. Tough to find a good 4-speed 81. I know, that was my first choice. Best of luck with the sale.

very beautiful car

dobe, if this is origianl paint scheme it would have been one of the first cars built at Bowling Green. 81 is the year they moved the plant. Solid colors were only available from the St. Louis plant. Two tones were done in BG. (i believe :o )

My twin to this one was build Sept. 17, 1981 ..2,832 cars earlier (#105090).
There were only 1,073 built after this one.
