First Impressions of Fpadt Coilovers...
First off, a big thank you to Sean, Allen, & Paul, of Orange County Corvette, for staying a little late Friday night to finish my Phadt coilover instalation and corner weight!!!
As usual, they doubled checked all work, and I drove home with confidence.
I set them at 10 all the way around for the drive home. It was very smooth, and not all bumpy! The car just seemed to give me more confidence in how it felt.
I took it out for some local canyon action on Saturday, then turned it up to 12 and went to the "big Dog" canyons on Sunday. There was a noticeable improvement in handling and driver confidence on the road. It was more stable and predictable, and allowed me to go deeper into turns and increased my exit speed!
I also want to thank Aaron at Pfadt for all his help in this project, coilovers are just what I need to complement my Nitto NT-01s, Quaife built diff, Rodney Built/G-force 5th&6th Tranny, T-1 bars, and Brembos, for an ultimate fun ride!!!
I'd type more, but it's sunny and 74, and I gota go drive some more...
P.S. The camera will be on today as it was yesterday. I got some awsome footage from my new rear mounted camera, courtesy of "JB productions"
JB
P.S.S. I know I spelled Pfadt wrong on the title...

I always love your videos.. Try to get another run in with a Supra and record the race. I plan on doing similar upgrades to my suspension. I dont track much, but I do plan to go to Sebring again when I get home..

I agree, more videos
My silver Z06 was on the dyno when you pulled in last Friday. Sean told me that your car was going to get corner weighted, but I didn't understand that to mean they do it at OCC... for some reason I thought they had it done somewhere else. That's nice to know they do it in house, in case I ever decide to have it done, although my car is just street driven, not the monster runs you do.

I've had my Pfadt coils on the car for a little over a week. I love them! The ride is not harsh at all (with the #10 setting on all 4 wheels, like yours). They definitely let you feel the road a lot more though, and like you said, they give more confidence around turns -- and at high speeds (did a quick run up to 150 the other day, not only did it get there fast, but I felt like I could easily keep going safely).
The next thing I want to try out is setting the coils to a much softer setting and seeing how they work for launching at the drag strip.

Thanks guys!!!
I just got in from another rip in the canyons!! My previous suspension setup was stiff spings and QA-1 shocks. It was pretty good, but I would bottom out the car sometimes.
With the coilovers, no more slaming the car on the road...
Again, the car just goes right where you put it, and stays nice and level! as far as wheel hop, the QA-1s did a nice job of eliminating that, and the coilovers are doing a great job as well!
As usual, I post vids on corvettekillstores....
No links please....

Driving Experience
Peter Pan might need to follow you around one of this days before he attempts to do Big Bend here in Texas. For all you that dont know about Big Bend, its an awsome weekend. Its an 118 mile race that will take place in April. This will be something something jbsblown might want to come down.
