Cold Air Intake (Homemade)
A number of regular and Z06 owners expressed an interest in a cold air intake. Some commercial units are available. I decided to share my construction, and also include a useful air diverter. You need an air diverter because otherwise the air will pass right by the vertical opening behind the grill.
Here is the diverter cut from plexiglass, which I like because it is transparent and easy to work with:

Passenger side diverter in place:

Driver side diverter in place:

The modified fascia extension:

A view from the top of the diverter

Finished product enhancing the appearance.

If these photos did not show up, I read the instructions, but it did not work for me, I'll then try again.

Nice project taking a couple of hours. I think I got tinypic.com straight now. If not, I'll try again.
I also cutout the nose vent and installed the mesh there. It is black, though. Today I'll work on the side vents if I can figure out how to get at them.
