I bet you've been working around your radiator shroud. If I don't miss my guess, that is a spacer that goes under there. That's what I recall anyway.

That's what it is Jim I only found one on mine. It goes under the shroud passenger side.

. Can you see it from the top or underneath the car?It is actually easy to figure out if you see it in place on another vette. Follow the A/C line and you'll see it on the edge of the radiator shroud.
