I have to say these exceed my wildest dreams. They went in night before last and I still can't believe how much superior they are to the stock lights. I have pics of the stock lights looking down my rural road and tonight I'll shoot pics with the new Vette-HIDs.
I'm amazed. It's a clean, white light doesn't seem to have the ricer blue tint to it. The cutoff line is remarkably sharp. The lows seem to be brighter than the stock hi-beams were and the light is much more even across the road surface.
I live out in the country with no street lights and lots of wildlife running across the roads. Do I think they're worth $1500? Every penny.
Call me very pleased! Thanks Brian!

5 sets have been Installed so far 2 out of the five had alignment Issues. I reinstalled a set in my car and installed a set the other night. looks like gm has no consistent headlight motor setup procedure. If yoiu have alignment issues you can do two things.
Adjust the headlight motor actuator rod so they do not open as far. Or trim the aluminum on the top of the headlight braket.
There are ribs there that are about 1/4 longer than the others when you remove lamp you will understand. Trim them to the same height as the others and you can actually pick up another 10 inches of adjustment. I did this on my car tonight and mine was within DOT regulations before. Now i can go almost a 1.5 feet below the center line of the the screen for adjustment.
I used a dremel tool to trim the aluminum.
Im going to suggest everyone to do this because there is nothing worse than having to disassemble and them trim. Picture below is after trimming the metal ribs. I removed the headlight motor assembly it was simple pretty self explanatory when you see it.

I just finished installing the Vette-HID headlights.
I have to say that they are a big improvement over the H4 HID headlights.
here are a couple of pics to compare the H4 HID's and the Vette-HID.
H4 HID headlights.
Vette-HID headlights.
there are a couple of things about the installation that I did differently that the install instructions directed.
1) The install directions recomended using a dremel to trim the bottom of the headlight frame to give a little more adjustment room for the Vette-HID housings, Instead of using a dremel to grind or cut the ribs on the bottom of the frame, I used a pair of vise grips and broke the ribs off.
this was much faster than cutting with the dremel, and I feel that I had more control of how much material that I wanted to remove.
2) The right side harness is way longer than it needs to be ( the install directions state this also) I ran both harnesses the recomended way until I got to the fuse panel, what I did was to coil the excess harness in the bottom of the fuse panel and only bring the two red wires out from the bottom to connect to the positive block on the fuse panel, this also made for a cleaner looking install.
there is one issue that I did have with the harness, the terminals on the red wires were too small to fit onto my positive terminal block, I had to cut them off and crimp on larger terminals.
other than that, I had everything installed in about 3 hours.

Looks great
The ring terminal has been addressed and will be fixed.
THe harness is a little harder because everyone does things differently. I made allot of them shorter a few people complained they were too short. Once we get a few more kits installed i will find out how everyone installed there kit and make a production change.
Thanks
B

I also thought that the left side harness could have been about 12" longer, I ran the left side harness down under the front bumper. It's totally hidden but it just barely made it to where I mounted the left side ballast (I mounted the left side ballast in about the same position as the directions show for the right side ballast), so if the right side harness was about 2' shorter, and the left side harness was about 1' longer it would have been a little easier of an install...for me.
over all, it's a really nice kit!
well done!

I didn't take it for a ride yet, I had to repair one of my headlight covers, the tab on the back of the cover needed to be epoxied, it's been cracked since I got the car and last night it finally broke all the way off.
It was cold in my garage so I brought it into the house to warm it up and epoxy it overnight.
asided from the one left headlight cover the lights are completely installed (you can see in my before and after pic that the cover is not on the car.)
I'll be taking it for a ride tonight.
