Awesome, thanks! I wonder how the viper guys are going to take this one. I remember more than a few of them here talking about how the viper would run away from the Z06 at the track. Now they seem very quiet.

LOL, the GT broke and he still talked like it was gods gift to the automotive kingdom. I bet if he actually owned it he wouldn't be feeling the same way.
PS. They shifted to 4th in the Quarter, I thought 3rd could be held. They didn't shift into 3rd in the GT. That might have made the results a little more interesting.

Z06 pulled highest acceleration Gs (.71) and fastest speed (133mph) on the road coarse.
GT pulled slow figure eight to time due to gearing.
Viper pulled good figure eight time due to tires.

The Viper was a bit (hair) faster on the Figure 8, but as someone above mentioned, that favors cars like the Viper (big tires, etc).

Based on my experience with chassis dynos the corvette is not under rated by GM BUT Ford is SURELY under rating the GT. 
Please understand that is not a complaint ...I have seen a lot of scatter in the MPH # on the GT for the 1/4 mile which in IMHO is the best indicator of what the output of the engine truely is...
BTW the Ford guys should get at least something for that $100k plus
they are paying for the GT40 
They don't get a practical 2 seater , poor fuel econmy, and 2nd rate handling.
They better up the boost and get some race fuel is they run into a lightly moded ZO6

75.4 secs for the vette and 76.7 for the viper. What are you looking at?

Great article with a terrific closing line which speaks to the mission of all performance cars. Great performances by the cars tested. Quite frankly I would be proud to park all three in my garage.
P.S., the dyno results make for very, very, very curious reading in light of the new SAE tests.
