Default No Tears No Excuses - Revised Format

OK, girls. Since I didn't get enough commitments for the format I proposed originally and I still want to run the event, I call for the following changes:

When/where: Friday November 18 @ Atco Raceway, NJ

Entry fee: $300 instead of $500. Covers track rental ($200/car), full track prep, rest goes to food and drinks. No refunds. You must sell your spot to someone else if you can't make it. If the event is rained out and it's too late for a make-up date, I will refund everyone's money except for about $20 to cover the non-refundable deposit that I must place for the rental. The event would then be moved to Spring of 2006.

Payouts: None (due to the lowered fee). If any shop wishes to contribute, then we'll arrange payouts for different categories (reaction times, most wins, widest/narrowest margin of victory, etc.) Side bets between racers are fair game.

Rules: As before, there aren't any. Run what you brung and don't complain if you get smoked because now you can choose your opponent.

Format: Grudge matches. Each racer who wishes to participate must give me a definite commitment (that includes PayPal or check because I'm done with losing money on the rentals) in this thread and call out their opponent(s). Obviously, not every opponent you call out is going to accept the challenge or attend the race so have some back-up plans.

First 16 to respond with a commitment and challenge(s) are in. I will keep an alternate list in case there are more people interested than there are spots. If that becomes the case, I will talk to Atco to see if we can make it on a Saturday.

This is our chance to end the season with a big bang. This format allows just about anyone to participate. It's intended to be competitive but FUN. I don't want any BS! You can talk all the smack you want but DO NOT make things personal. Like the saying goes, "When the lights drop, the bs stops."

In the spirit of giving, I will give Paul Major a MAJOR ***-whipping so I'm calling you out, Paulie!!!!

OK - I'll commit to one car (blue) being there. We'll see how fast she goes hopefully on the 30th. I'll re-post the level it runs at.

On the Green car - It should be done but lets wait & see. If it is then we'll play king of the mountain and see who can beat it. Might need a race jockey.

Alright, I'll follow PaulZo6's lead and say that Blue can whoop some big guys single turbo car. What do you say Mike?
(as long as Alan is OK with it of course!)

Alan, you have a race jockey!! I have waaaaay to much time into that car to let just anyone drive it.

Now, where is everyone that complained about the lack of flexibility

Let's go, guys, this is gonna be our last hurrah before the cold sets in.

Oh, come ON, guys there are so many great drivers on this forum who can make this very interesting. There should be no excuse why all of our regular Pro 8 drivers can't participate. Plus we have plenty of terrific bracket racers too. It's up to you if you want this to be heads up on a pro tree or brackets on a full tree!!!!! All you have to do is commit and challenge someone!

I WANTED TO SAY HOW IMPRESSED I AM OF YOUR SETUP AND DRIVING. YOU DROVE THAT CAR ALL DAY WITH JUST SOME ICING OF
THE INTAKE AND CHECKING MINOR STUFF. IT REALLY IS A LOW
MAINTENANCE SET UP AND RUNS GREAT.
HOPE TO HANG OUT AND RACE TOGETHER IN THE FUTURE

The little guy is right here . You guys are on , but it's blower w/alky against turbo w/alky , no nitrous allowed , or do you still need a supercharger and a direct-port nitrous system to run fast ?

You sure you want to allow jockeys ? My car will pick up a tenth and a half with my jockey in it .

One thing I do need from Paul Z is an exact date , so I can ask for time off from work .
