Like women do remember accesorize. What ever the color of the car the accesories do make a diff, at least in my opine. Rim being shiny or black same with side pipes and the little stuff you don't notice till someone didn't and did it.

Got an an Email from SHAKERATTLEROLL with this request:
Could you post a pic for me that I feel would be a nice way to paint a vette. I am thinking Monoco Orange with black stripes as in the pic. It does not let you do that here it seems. Clifton
So, here it is.

Well my little girl(3 yr old) thinks that "pink" would be the best,
I think I'll stick with black.

She is mad because I just told her I am not going to paint it pink!

How did you do this in photo shop? I'm trying but still can't quite get it. I plan to paint soon and am looking for different color combinations. Thanks DB

I've done the same thing. Use the "Magic Wand" tool. If you play around with the settings you can usually get a good clean outline of your car. Otherwise just outline it manually. In Fireworks (Macromedia Co) you can use the Ctl & Alt keys at the same time with the magic wand tool and "add" "subtract" to make it easier to get a good outline. I would imagine it's about the same in Photoshop. Once the car is outlined with the Magic Wand, you can select any fill color you want. Silver and gold might be tough to do.

A totally unbiased reply from me is black (as mine is white!). I think the 80 - 82 shape looks best in black as it really shows off the curves. The downside to black is that it's a nighmare to keep looking good & it makes the car look smaller, hence more likely to get parking lot damage (don't ask how I know this ).
If I was to change the color of mine (which I'm considering) I' like a candy blue. That'd be expensive to get done properly, so a 2nd choice is the C5 electron blue as I think it'd look brilliant in that color. It'll probably stay white for a few years yet though...
Graeme, looking excellent Hope it runs as well as it looks?
