'88 'vert, sale or trade down
Financial difficulties force me to explore selling my '88 'vert, but since I don't want to completely stop being a Vette owner, and since (I hope) the wallet will recover shortly, I'd be interested in trades for c4/c3 "project cars"
Car has just over 65K, auto, dark blue metallic paint, saddle top and interior. Top will need to be replaced eventually (pic available - hard to explain problem, no holes in actual top itself, issue is with seperation in corner) but is perfectly watertight right now. Z-52, full power sport seats, new tires (Sumitomo) within the last 3K miles, new half-shaft u-joints in May, new intake manifold gasket over the winter, new starter in May.
Paint and body are good but not perfect, some minor scractches and chips, some swirls.
Interior is good but needs a good cleaning. Driver's seat shows wear and a small (1/4") hole starting on the right side bolster (I think that's what its called).
Car fax from last fall shows clean history.
Based on local pricing I think she's worth about $11.5K.
Would consider most any 'vette trade that put $6-9K in my pocket.
Might also consider interesting non-vette trades (older sports cars, hot-rod project, cycles - gotta have some kind of toy).
Thanks,
:Seeya

E mail me at Kaye.tom@xtra.co.nz re how much u want to moveon price.
I can import it to New Zealand but will have to store it to 2008 so I can register it. Damn LHD rules.

Motorcycle For Vette
Your Vette is very nice. I was really looking for an early 90's couipe, but I would definitely consider a trade, but the logistics would be difficult considering you're in Wisconsin and I'm in New York.
I'd be happy to send you more pics and will do so in a couple of days. Would you also send me some closer pics of the interior, the car (with the top up) and the engine compartment.
If we both fund the transport of each of our vehicles to the other person, I would give you my bike and plus $5,000 for your car.
Let's exchange more pics and go from there.

Race Director
This would be a good car to buy as a Christmas present for your wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, college student. He is an upstanding guy here on the Forum and I would trust buying his car.
If you wait till Spring you will regret it.!

Burning Brakes
Like the wood-grain treatment. Goes well with the tan interior.
Sorry, looking for a different year and color. Nice looking car, though.
Good luck on the sale.

richiep - responded to your email with more pics.
thanks for the kind words Ron!
Oh and by the way - I removed the wood grain - looked ok in pics, but pretty cheesy in person - was a cheap kit i think. Plan over the winter - if I still have the car, is to cover the breadbox panel (only woodgrain left) with a piece of black leather embroidered with the C4 logo.
