how far can i go without voiding my warranty?
I'm new, 1st post, but i've done a lot of reading (hours and hours) and have read different opinions about this. I have the Varnaam (?) intake on order, which i'm relatively sure won't void anything, but what else can i do. I'm thinking a cam will, but i could be wrong. Any opinions welcome. I have an 01 by the way, 5000 miles on it, I love it.....

In short... the modification must be proven to cause a defect to deny a warranty claim. An extreme example would be a customer with a 427 TT having his/her window regulators going out... they'd still be covered b/c the 1000 ponies didn't contribute to their defect.
I have and intake, Lt headers w/ cats, a catback w/ brake mods and track mods.... none of this has voided my warranty. This is partly becuase they haven't caused any issues and it helps that my local Corvette tech likes the fact that I "use" the car.

Another thing to consider is the dealerships. Some dealerships are fairly lax with bolt on mods and will work on your car as warranty work and some dealerships will not or charge you money to work on your car.
Having said that, when you mod your car, you are effectively changing the factory configuration and is taking a change of voiding warranty of related component of whatever you've modded.

Some things may not void your warranty but the dealer will charge you extra labor for instance if they have to remove your headers to get to what they are working on. And then there are dealers that will void your warranty for something as stupid as seeing rubber in your wheel wells. ALOT depends on the dealer.
