Default Full set of 18x11(F), 18x12(R) CCW wheels + Toyo RA1 tires for sale

Fronts are 18x11 CCW track wheels, in polished centers, rears are 18x12 CCW track wheels in polished centers. Wheels used probably 4-5 HPDE weekends.

Toyo 275 (front) and 335 (rear) RA1 tires, about 3/32" to 4/32" left (shaved and raced once, used for about a half weekend at one HPDE) already mounted and balanced.

Rears require removal of Z06 brake ducts and small (3-5mm) spacers, not included.

I don't want to ship these, so someone should come and get them. Best offer made takes them. Send offers to brian@pfyc.com

Thanks.

Mark, haha. My trailer isn't worth even 1/4 of what the wheels and tires are worth.

Yep, only driven on the weekend!

ALLTHROTTLE, I don't have any photos at this time. They're just standard track wheels from CCW with tires. They're stacked up in my basement right now.

I saw the wheels about a week ago - look to be in great shape and tires are as Brian describes. The wheels are the polished CCW Classic Track wheels.

Brian,
I'm considering a similar setup for my Z06 using RA-1s on CCW 18s". Currently, I am running full tread RA-1s on factory wheels (17/18) with 275f/305r. This is the set up I use on my daily driver. If doing it again, would you go with 335 or 305 rears, or some other arrangement? With different offset than you used, would the 335 rears give satisfactory clearance of the Z06 brake ducts? Does the 275/335 combo give understeer?

TTT.

All good questions, Bob. Hopefully Brian can answer.

I have oversteer with my Nitto/Toyo 275/305 setup. I have to run a four pound spread to compensate. LG runs 285/335 18/18(Goodyear slick), Scotty B 315/335 17/17(Kuhmo), some others(Don W.) 305/335 18/17(Hoosier), most other's (T1) 275/315/17 (Kuhmo's for the most part). So many choices, so little time, so little money, to much frustration. Shhhh, it's a secret.

you have oversteer with the 275/305 nitto setup? I feel like I have too much understeer, which probably saves me but sometimes the push is so bad the fronts turn and the car goes straight!

I thought most T1 guys were running 315s all the way around? when/if i move to the 710s, I am concerned about running a 275/315 on my stock wheels and what it will "feel like"

T1s run 315/35x17 on all corners.

I think Lou runs Toyo's as they are a race sponsor.

I have run 285-30x18 and 335-30x18 Hoosiers. Great set up, For the most part. Did have a bit of understeer on VIR South's tight 180* left hander coming down after the hill.

Run 11.5 ( appox 310 ) on all corners now. Love them.

The T-1 guys run a variety of front tires sizes. 315's all around being the most popular.

You are correct that Lou has the Toyo label on his car. Does Toyo make a full race slick in the proper sizes or just the R1A?

Good info on Hoosier's and the setup as its relevant to this thread. S03's(non-radials) I presume.

For whomever asked about clearance, I have 18 x10.5 front with 275's and 18 x 12 rear with 335's and use a 3/16ths spacer on the front only to clear the Wilwood's otherwise this a direct bolt on with NO clearance issues on a Z06 with DRM ducts front and the rear OEM ducts in place in the rear. These are CCW's.

Yes I used the S03s

from the TOYO motorsports web site; http://www.toyo.com/motorsports/scca/

Brian, z06Ontrack, and others,
If doing it again with the RA-1s, would you go with the 18" 275f/335r combo, 275f/305r, or? Does the 305 or 335 rears give more balanced handling? I was concerned that the 335r set up may be prone to understeer. Well?

Oh crud, this site did not tell me I had new replies to this. That's why I always ask you to send me an e-mail if you want to chat about something like this (see first post). Anyway, sorry for not responding. I've not been ignoring anyone - I just didn't know there were new replies

I found that I was getting a bit of understeer with this setup. With a Z06 with as much power as mine had, that was probably a good thing For whoever buys this set from me, I imagine my recommendation for next time would be 305 in the front and 335 in the rear. I've run that setup before and it was doggone neutral, if not slight oversteer depending on throttle of course

As far as what I am looking to get - fair value. Make a fair offer, back it up with what you've seen others with similar specs and tires go for, and they're yours. They sit in my basement collecting dust, while I'd rather have the cash in my pocket instead.
