Default New Dyno numbers LGM LS2 Cam/LG Headers/Fast intake 460rwhp 425rwtq!

460 rwhp 425 rwtq

This is a C6 as in our last post but we just changed the stock LS2 90 manifold to a Fast 90 manifold and left the stock throttle body on.

That is a 20 hp increase over the stock LS2 intake with the Fast intake.

And 460/425 is incredible for a cam only kit with just headers and manifold. AFR heads on Monday

Mods as follows:

Stock Heads, un touched, never off
Stock Water pump
Stock pulley
Stock clutch
LG Pro Long Tube headers
Borla Stinger muffler
G5X-4 cam by LG Motorsports
Upgraded valve springs
LS 2 edit by LGM

This would be a 540 hp package at the flywheel.

We will put a video of the idle quality up. Monday we will change the heads to AFR 225 heads. this will probably knock our socks off.

thanks guys.

Lou Gigliotti LGM

first graph is of the final numbers and
the next graph is the before and after Fast intake manifold change

Yeah those numbers are crazy. It must be running a pretty aggressive cam to get those numbers...hows the idle? How much would a set up like this cost and what kind of gains are you expecting from the AFRs.

Very nice results.
I'm amazed how much the FAST inake gains over the OE 90mm setup.

If you had an otherwise stock C6 and switched to the FAST intake, would you need to tune the car?

The FAST manifold made 22HP difference on my 427 C6. You ahve to modify the manifold AND the firewall to get it to fit, however.
I just trimmed my firewall with a sawzall and glassed it back up.
I hope FAST makes a manifold for the C6 that doesn't require a sawzall to install it!

please understand upfront i am not doubting or flaming anyone..

what is the reason the current lsx intake has to modified?
one would think the back of the intakes would be close in size and shape.

i understand it hits the firewall but, still puzzled why gm would have
changed the firewall in the 1st place???

I believe GM has moved the MAP sensor on the LS2 intake, cleaning the back end of the manifold up considerably over the LS1/LS6 design. Plus, the cam sensor was moved up front, so GM can drop the firewall in around the back of the intake much tighter.

Interested in hearing the pricing also or email me at ccajun4real@nc.rr.com

Very impressive numbers for what I would consider limited mods. Need some before and after track times? Would that cam respond well to Nitrous?

So all G.M. had to do was change the manifold for the LS7 (which according to these numbers could have stayed a 6L LS2) to get 505hp?

Let me make sure I understand this correctly, a cam, header's and a manifold produced 550 hp Just asking?

Lou, you have to start taking more afternoon naps man.
