Default Roof Latch Roller and Skid pics..???

Who has actual pics of the various latch assemblies (original, temporary factory epoxy "fix" and the most recent "block" latch that doesn't use rollers)???

Here are 2 pictures of c-clip on my latch. You can also take some JB-Weld epoxy and apply to the backside of roller to "fix" it in place. The c-clip stopped my roof popping, but did not stop it on my friends 05.

I posted some of what you are looking for in this thread.

I won't be able to have the current latch photos for another week and a half.

The pic of interest is one that shows the new latch (with the "flat roller" that replaced the round roller depicted in your pics).

People make reference to it, yet no-one's posted a pic of one.

Does anyone have such a pic?

My 08 glass top has been poping for over a year now. Installed the new latches last week. So far so good. Here are a couple of photos of the new latch. The plastic skid is now tapered and fixed and does not move.

Thanks!

Maybe you want to put up a thread on the main board with that pic. A lot of people are talking about and asking about it, yet I think this is the first actual pic to make the board.

EVS Random Lake, WI fixed mine about 10 weeks ago according to a TSB they rec'd. I had the problem with this popping to for 18 months, including a new transparent roof, to try to correct it. The fix per the TSB which fixes the rollers and takes out any play has worked so far. Good luck! Dusty

I happened to be in my dealer's parts department today, and casually asked about the new latches. They are slowly becoming available, and the parts guy said they had replaced a set of handles earlier today. He mentioned a TSB out that directs using the new latches. he also indicated they still have backorder problems with them, but some are coming in.

The TSB is ready to be released. However, GM first wants to pull all of the old roof latches out of current inventories, and at the same time get all of the inventories stocked with the new latches. Once that has been accomplished they will release the TSB. They do not want to release the TSB and not have sufficient supplies of the new latches in inventory.
