Stock with minor bolt ons --is a mid-high 11 second car. Some have gone faster.

Cam only- low 11's with a good 60'

Spray should put you easily in the 10's if you can control the wheelspin.

A clutch will help also to get that low 60' time and Seattime doesn't hurt.

mid 11's? That's way too fast. I really doubt they run that stock. Mid 12's sounds reasonable.

Mine is a 2003 Z06.
All stock except for the vararam and the B&B PRT catback.Tires were Firestone Wide ovals on stock rims and in the stock sizes.I usually run at Kilkare Dragway in Xenia,Ohio.Altitude is approximately 830 feet above sea level.Humidity and D.A. are both usually on the South side of terrible.Big end of track sandtrap ends almost against the Little Miami River(less than 50' away).

The best run I've had there was a 12.36 at 114.23 MPH.That doesn't set the world on fire but I thought it was pretty good for this area.Yes I spun wayyyy too much as well. The cars are strong and fun in stock form.

I would strongly suggest looking at the "C5 Z06 section" of this forum and check the sticky at the top called the C5 Z06 fast list..... its broken down into catagories based on modifications from bone stock to forced induction to nitrous and everything in between.

That is a very good ET and MPH for here in the Midwest. I personally have never saw a basicly stock Z06 even come close to a mid 11 ET. and that goes for Miland,131, Mid Michigan and Norwalk. Anyone can post a time and refer to their Z06 as being stock....however that doesn't make it so!!!

I weigh 270 lbs and my bone stock (down to the paper air filter) 2004 Z, ran a 12.2 at 118 on the third and final time I ever ran the car. I'm fairly decent at drag racing but by no means am I even close to great. So, high 11's is very possible and mid 11's can happen but is not the normal. Ranger has proven that.

I have a 99 FRC (No Z, but..) I took mine to 12.4 @ 112 with exhaust, Blackwing filter, and shifter. I was even on the stock runflat rubber. Im sure with some seat time and sticky tires that you could possibly see a very low 12 second pass or even a high 11 sec one.

My 02 Z06 with Nitto drag radials, clutch and vararam pulled a best of 11.405@123.61. Even at 95 degrees I was able to run in the upper 11's at near sea level.
My new setup is a 2001 Z06(with a new 405hp LS6 crate engine) which has a MTI Stealth II cam/heads, Textralia clutch, full exhaust and UD pulley. A month ago I ran a 11.11@123.66 and I think I can pull into the 10s with the weather this weekend.

so your stock 02z with just a vararam mile an houred the same as your h/c, bolt on, with a new engine 01z, and faster than everybody elses bolt on z06. i think i would ask for a refund on my current h/c setup, but thats just me.

I believe the record for a stock c5z is 11.7 and 11.4 on drag radials... just depends on how good/ consistant of a driver you are.

The problem that most people have is the launch, you can practice this anywhere though, spend a little prep time practicing your launch and you should turn a decent time provided that you know how to shift. Find that right point for the launch for you probly 2.5k ish on a decent street tire (maybe lower) and then dont drop the clutch, let out of it quickly and squeeze the throttle on quickly, dont stab it wot. If you practice this, and get it to where you can regularly leave 10ft black stripes (not a huge burnout, just light stripes) on a non prepped surface, you should be good to go at the track. Doing this (ranger's instructions BTW) I managed a 1.68 sixty foot in a filter/catback frc on runflats.

It all depends on conditions, driver actual vehicle condition. But I see most running between 12.2 & 12.5 @ 114-116+ mph. Which is very respectable

Mine is not a Z06 but there is a guy who runs an stock 04 Z06 with ET streets at Thompson, Ohio. He has run 11.9s in real good air. My guess is he weighs about 160 dripping wet. I ran best of 12.47 with my LS1 with the cold air intake, drag radials and headers and 55 degree October air. Unfortunately, haven't been near that since. Maybe this year!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

the day a well driven z06 can only run mid 12's is the day when hell freezes over. you do realize he said run with a drag tire too... right?
