Default Honey, i shrunk the wheelbase

thinking to relocate the front crossmember/ suspension forward abt an inch to make room for a rat motor...looks too ez to be true...anybody done this already???

btw, prelim investigation appears that my front wheels, and several other c4's that i have access to, ARE too far back for ''esthetics of design''..comments??

Actually looked at that when I wanted a big box style oil pan on the car, I think it's do-able

When the V-12 C4 was built, the front was extended to accomodate
the increased length of the Falconer engine. This car had extended
front panels as well as chassis modifications.

From SuperChevy

GM built a BBC C4 known as the ZR-2 as an engineering study. I do
not recall whether the front cross member was relocated but given
enough incentive, I could probably pull out a magazine article about the
car and see whether this is mentioned ...
