Default Bear Mountain cruise night pics.

We finally got a night where it didn't cloud up and rain, so me and my son headed over to the cruise night, enjoy.

Took this around 7:00, the field was only half full, last year at this time they were turning people away.

Before I get to the cars I spotted this really nice bike.

Now on to the cars.

Even more.

Hey, you can't fit golf clubs in there.

So how does a 2002 car get on the field with a 1985 cut off? Join their club, I did.

He joined.

So did he.

Looks like it's gonna be a great season .

I remember someone saying that they are restricting the cars that can go onto the show field. 1985 and older, or something like that.

Ooops! I see you already said that!

I love those pics!!! Looks like you really mastered the art of digital photography now. Guess I won't need to bring my camera anymore

I love this car!! Looks like a porsche spyder with widened body. Do you know exactly what it is?

Thanks, Tom.

The name of the club is Cops and Rodders and they sponsor a Wed. night cruise at Bear Mountain.

Tom, if you join their club your vette will find a place on the lawn. Dues are $40 a year.

Thanks Alex coming from a master at digital photography I take that as high praise. Did not get a chance to give it a good look over, so I'm not too sure what it is exactly, but here is another shot.

Bob,

I'm sorry. I saw that you had already said that, after I made my silly post.

That's a little scary because I read contracts for a living.

Tom

BTW: Great pics - as usual!! What camera do you have? I work down the street from B&H, and I might head over there at lunch time.

It's a Olympus stylus 500, 5 meg. and takes 10 minutes of videos, easy to operate. Don't pay more than $350, that's what I payed at Best Buy.

Great! Thanks very much.

You're the second person who has told me about Olympus in the last three days.

Great pics!

However... Bear Mtn, their club, and their 1985 "cutoff" can suck my a**!! That was the one night where we could go hang with our cars and actually enjoy being there for several hours. Most shows/cruise nights get boring, but with over 500 cars/motorcycles regularly, this was the one to be at every week.

As I understand it, the local LEOs forced them to do something. It was starting to get out of hand so they installed the 1985 cutoff to get some control back, otherwise they might have been shut down.

I think some people got a little rambunctious with peal outs and there was always a lot of traffic at the end of the show. It isn't like there are a lot of residents to disturb there, though.

The same thing happens at the Whickey on Saturdays. The organizers beg people to be cool, so the Man doesn't shut down the whole thing. The Whickey is in an office park, near a two highways, a cemetery and a dump. So, it's not like there are any residents to disturb there, either (Sorry, there are two hotels).
