If you replace the receiver with an 03, then you have to replace all of the key fobs. They all use the same receiver. Is cheaper to put the old sensors on.

Check for moisture near the BCM. Open up the access pannel on the passenger side foot rest. You may have a plugged AC drain hose which causes water to run into the BCM and burn them up.

One reason you may not want the sensors is if you take your car out to the track for a weekend of fun. When out on the track, you do not use runflats and do not care about pressure sensors. Sensors...

Just to see if it's possible. Well, Not really. I was thinking of going to aftermarket wheels and not use the sensors. Past experieince here in the forum says that this combination would give anoying...
