Well..yes I was able to do it without lifting the...

Well..yes I was able to do it without lifting the engine..just had to remove the crossbraces on the frame.

OK...this is why it was leaking...I shouldnt be admitting this..but I put a new cam in...

Changing Oil Pan Seal

I know this has been covered, but I searched and couldnt come up with anything.

SO I have to change my oil pan gasket. It LOOKS like I can do it without jacking the engine up....but I dont know...

Can you put 87 Bose Speakers in a 91?

I have a full set of Speakers out of my 87 that a buddy of mine wants for his 91 vette. He knows the plastic speaker enclosures are different, but he thinks he can swap out the guts (amp and speaker)...

When you do check for fuel pressure....be sure to check it twice....somes it will spray fuel the first time and not the second...I guess what ever it had left in the lines.

Thanks!....Actualy, it wasnt running when I checked it..I have no idea why it was so high...but I think I will take the battery in to be chaecked..before I start tearing the car apart..lol

It is strange. My Vette wouldnt start and all the lights totally dim out. So I figure it is the battery. I check the voltage and it reads 3 volts. I am like ok..I try to charge it and the charger...

OK...here is a vote for them...I have an 87 with a 4+3. I changed from the 3.07s to 3.75s. I wouldnt change back for anything. The low end torque felt like it doubled...and it is fun to stomp on it...

I have the same trouble...I did as said above and even bought a new sensor...same thing...it is intermitant...I am guessing it is a lose connection up the line somewhere then...

I drove with out a custom prom on mine after I did major mods, and while it didn't run right, it didnt do any damage. I had to pull the timing out to -2 degrees to stop it from pinging though.

I tried multiple things to recolor mine...nothing works..always ended up fading out again...I ended up just recovering them. It isn't that much work...

IMHO....I dont think it will make a difference....well maybe 25 years from now somebody might be looking for a "numbers matching" car. But if you sell it anytime in the next 5-10 years, it wont...

IMO....it isnt a 3-4 hour job. I pulled my rear diff, changed my gears and put it back in in about 4 hours. Shouldn't take more than 2. Call around...

I have installed a few windshields, it isn't bad at all...just make sure you get as much of the old sealant off as possible. We used Essex Urethane to seal the new windshields. Great stuff...but...

I did the same as everybody else, used a block of wood on the jack to distribute the wieght across the oil pan cover. then used short 2x4s on the motor mounts to support it while I worked.... :cheers:

yeah...I have one in my Vette, but I put it in becuase these in these hot South Carolina summers, the temp sitting in traffic hits 220...and I like keeping it under 200. So I just turn it on...
