1985 Scrambled Dash

The dash on my C4 will occasionally become scrambled. I was able to get a video of it when it was especially bad.

Just did that, it shows the same voltage that I've been seeing throughout the line.



That shows me 3.4 ohms from terminal to terminal measured at the prongs on top of the compressor.

I put 12v to the terminal on top of the compressor and didn't have any action from it. I'll look closer at that to see if the compressor itself is the issue.

A good idea... i'll test the regulator myself. Napa told me the voltage was maxing at 15.6. I don't know if thats good or bad. I thought the voltage regulator was supposed to max the output at ~14.7....

SunCr will probably chime in and give you a better answer, but I think you're compressor is kicking on and off because the low pressure cutoff switch is telling it that the pressure is too low.
