The baffle plate under the PCV was missing, so oil was being sucked up through the PCV valve. I can only assume that's how the vacuum advance got completely...

Vacuum canister is on manifold vacuum. With the canister plugged, timing is all in at 36 degrees. With it hooked up, it's all coming in at 52 degrees. Both at around 2800 RPMs.

Any problems putting a square bore carb (in this case a Holley 670) on an Edelbrock Performer #2101 intake? It's got the bolt holes, I'm just wondering if the gasket would seal up ok.
