One of the chassis vendors for drag racing has seat brackets made of aluminum. I think it might be Chassis Engineering or Alston......... or one of those.

Well folks my 85 has worn out it's SECOND set of upholstery(186k+) the first was cloth and the second that I put in is leather. I'll be putting in the third sometime this year.

185+ on mine. Original engin that hasn't been apart except the usual valve cover and intake gaskets. Needs a MAF now and has other elec quirks. I rebuilt the trans over 100K ago and it's on it's 3rd...
